What’s My Ability? (LA)
A support group for those living with a disability in the entertainment industry.
Are you a professional in the performing arts and entertainment who is now living with a disability? Hoping to discover or renew your identity and purpose? Interested in enhancing your health and happiness? Searching for a listening ear, affirmation, understanding and connection?
This ongoing process group will encourage participants to:
- Share their stories and voices with peers
- Explore and discuss the experience of living with a disability
- Provide mutual support Build a community of shared experience
- Communicate about coping and strengthening resilience
- Process transitions associated with a shift in physical or mental capacity
- Think creatively as a group to solve problems and overcome obstacles
- Enhance connections and combat isolation.
