An Actors Fund Story - Angel

Angel Harper had a successful acting career. But, like many other actors, she found it harder and harder to land roles. Suddenly, she found herself in an unthinkable situation: she was broke, out of work, and in danger of getting evicted from her home of 14 years. She needed to make a change.

Luckily, she found her way to The Actors Fund. Through our Actors Work Program (AWP), Angel received one-on-one career counseling and attended skill-building workshops and seminars. That led her to a surprising discovery: she is a natural born teacher. Today, Angel has her teaching credentials and a rewarding new career.
