The Actors Fund Mental Health Services Program

Helps entertainment industry professionals and their families to deal with a wide array of issues including work and personal stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions and ongoing supportive services. Social workers provide short term treatment, crisis intervention, advocacy and connections to community treatment resources.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP)

A professional organization of 625,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers, owned and run by its members, and the world leader in performance royalties, advocacy and service for music creators.

The American Veterans' and Servicemembers' Survival Guide

This 599-page online book describes in depth problems faced by veterans and servicemembers (and their families), the benefits and services available, and issues of interest to the veterans' community. Helps veterans and servicemembers understand how various agencies work not just in theory but in practice, and how they can cut through the bureaucracy and confusion and get the benefits and services to which they are entitled.

The Body: The Complete HIV/AIDS Resource

Website resource that works to lower barriers between patients and clinicians; demystify HIV/AIDS and its treatment; improve patients' quality of life; and foster community through human connection. Explores over 600 HIV/AIDS-related topics, with extensive research for each.

Empowering LGBT people, building strong community. Employment resources, immigrant services, health services, A&E panels and event production.

The Indie Film Clinic

Not-for-profit clinical program that provides free legal services to filmmakers producing independent, documentary and student films and to artists providing services in independent and documentary film.

The Listings Project

Free weekly email of real estate and opportunities listings serving artists, creative communities and beyond

The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council

Exists to empower emerging and established artists with the resources, networks, and opportunities they need to sustain their creative lives.

The Momentum Project

Provides food, nutrition and health services to people living with HIV/AIDS at eight locations in four boroughs of New York City.

The Muslim Writers Collective

The Muslim Writers Collective is a grassroots initiative dedicated to promoting storytelling in the Muslim American community, featured in Vice, The Guardian, Buzzfeed, The Daily Beast, and more.

The National Resource Center on LGBT Aging

A technical assistance resource center aimed at improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender older adults. Their state-by-state resources locate available services on a national and local level.

The New York Institute for Special Education (NYISE)

A private education facility in the Bronx that provides quality programs for children who are blind or visually disabled, emotionally and learning disabled and preschoolers who are developmentally delayed. Maintains The Blindness Resource Center, which provides free online information about a variety of topics regarding blindness.

The Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative

A program of The Actors Fund created to address the many concerns women face when dealing with a serious medical condition. Our social workers help women negotiate the steps that follow a serious medical diagnosis.

The Workers Defense League

Protects the legal rights of workers. They help workers apply for unemployment benefits, provide free representation to NY residents to appeal denials of benefits, and provide information and referrals on other workplace issues.
