An online screening site with information about federal, state, local and private programs that help pay for prescription drugs, utility bills, meals, health, and a variety of other basic needs.

Beth Israel Victims Services (Mt. Sinai)

Services include crisis intervention, and individual short-term psychotherapy. Medical exams, HIV/STI treatment, and emergency contraception offered. No cost. Contact 212.420.4516.

Provides limited grants to individuals for certain expenses related to treatment.

Database connecting cancer patients and their caregivers to useful resources such as financial assistance, travel assistance and tips, support networks, and information on clinical trials, prevention and recent advances.

Care for the Homeless

This site lists the locations and hours of many food pantries in Manhattan.

Center for Arts in Education

Center for Arts in Education provides information and resources that demonstrate the benefits of and need for arts education as part of a quality, balanced education.

Center for Parent Information and Resources

Provides information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children and youth.

Chashama

Supports the process of artists by giving them space to create and present, and presents free, public events to diverse neighborhoods throughout New York City.

Provides parenting advice and information for stay-at home, working and single mothers. Topics range from jobs at home to fun games to play with your children.

Clear Health Costs

This website allows you to find retail or self-pay prices for medical procedures and items, as well as the Medicare pay rate. Their Price Check feature allows you to share the price you paid for a procedure as well.

Corporate Angel Network

Organization that eases the emotional stress, physical discomfort and financial burden of travel for cancer patients by arranging free flights to treatment centers, using the empty seats on corporate aircraft flying on routine business. Check website for eligibility requirements.
