International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees, IATSE International

Represents Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, its Territories and Canada.

International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Motion Picture and Theatrical Trade Division

Represents workers in the motion picture industry including firms that produce feature films, television programs, commercials, and live theatrical productions.

International Cinematographers Guild – IATSE, Local 600

Represents cinematographers and camera crews.

Advocacy, community and information for Content Creators.

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA)

Addresses critical issues facing new veterans and their families, including mental health injuries, a stretched VA system, inadequate health care for female veterans, and GI Bill educational benefits. Also provides valuable resources and empowers veterans to connect with one another, fostering a strong and lasting community.

Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic

This clinic offers high-quality HIV/AIDS treatment regardless of your financial situation. They accept various insurance plans and offer services for individuals with low-income and/or no insurance.

L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center - Mental Health Services

The center provides a broad array of services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. They offer low-cost brief counseling and crisis intervention for individuals, couples, and groups. They also provide services for those who are unable to pay.

Lambda Legal

A non-profit advocacy organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work. This site is also useful in finding laws regarding employment, relationship and parenting protection in every state.

Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA)

The South Los Angeles office assists with Employment Law and community economic development. The Central Office provides Housing and Eviction Defense services. The East Los Angeles Office assists with Government Benefits and Immigration Law. Individuals with incomes less than 125%, and occasionally up to 200%, of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible for pro bono assistance. Call (800)399-4529 to check eligibility. Los Angeles County Bar Association

The Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) provides attorney referrals at no cost. All LRS attorneys provide a free consultation but further services at cost. Call 213.243.1525

Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation

Documents the support activities for major industry clusters in Los Angeles County.

Media Bistro

Provides career advice and employment listings for marketing, advertising, publishing, sales, PR, digital media, television, design jobs.

Medicare

A federally funded program that provides medical and prescription coverage for seniors and the disabled.

Mercy Medical Airlift

Coordinates free airline tickets for missions over 600 miles and negotiates low cost air ambulance service for individuals and families in need of this service.
