Medicare

Extra Help

Helps people with limited resources and income pay for the costs—monthly premiums, annual deductibles and prescription co-payments—related to a Medicare prescription drug plan.

Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare health plans offered by private insurance companies that contract with Medicare to provide you your Parts A, B and sometimes D, benefits.

Medicare Part D Plans

Prescription drug coverage for people with Medicare.

Medicare Plan Finder

This invaluable tool can be used to find the most appropriate and affordable prescription drug and Medicare Advantage plans available based on your personal needs.

Medicare Rights Center (MRC)

The largest independent source of health care information and assistance in the United States for people with Medicare. Their enrollment projects help people with limited incomes access benefits that can help pay their Medicare premiums, deductibles and co-pays. They also offer a hotline and education services to help inform Medicare recipients of their rights and how to best use and navigate their benefits.

Medicare Savings Programs

Help pay your Medicare premiums and other costs if you have limited finances. There are three main programs, and each has different income eligibility limits.

Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap)

Insurance that can help pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover, like co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

Medicare.gov

Provides extensive information about all aspects of Medicare: rights and protections, plan choices, prescription coverage, billing, appeals, a Medicare glossary, and much more.

State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP)

Provide free, in depth, one-on-one insurance counseling and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries, their families, friends, and caregivers.

Springboard for the Arts

The Artists' Access to Healthcare program provides uninsured and underinsured artists with a $40 voucher to use for medical services at the N.I.P. Community Clinic in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
