The Connections Place offers a four-month job preparedness program in order to help people with borderline personality disorder identify and obtain meaningful professional work.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City Metro

NAMI-NYC Metro provides support, education and advocacy for families and individuals who live with mental illness. Services include support groups, courses about mental illnesses and their treatments, informational updates for its members, and educational outreach. Their Helpline provides information and referrals, and can be reached at 212-684-3264.


Blanton-Peale Counseling Center

Accepts many forms of insurance for counseling and therapy, and offers a sliding scale for the uninsured. Call the client coordinator for details about an initial consultation.

Henry Street Settlement Outpatient Mental Health Services

Offers outpatient mental health services, psychiatric day treatment, crisis services, HIV/AIDS and bereavement counseling, Asian bi-cultural services, vocational rehabilitation, parenting education and job training opportunities to New York City residents.

Metropolitan Center for Mental Health

Offers low-cost psychological treatment for people with emotional problems. Fees are on a sliding scale; services are insurance reimbursable and Medicaid is accepted.

Southern California Counseling Center

Provides high-quality psychological counseling to people with limited income, and develops and maintains responsive programs meeting the psychological needs of Southern California's multi-cultural community.

The Maple Counseling Center (TMCC)

TMCC's mission is to provide low cost comprehensive mental health services to individuals, couples, families, and groups throughout Los Angeles County.
