Direct from Disney’s The Little Mermaid where she plays Ursula the Sea Witch, Tony® nominee Sherie Rene Scott arrives at the Eugene O’Neill Theater for a one night only benefit performance of “You May Now Worship Me,” Scott’s collection of deeply personal stories. Proceeds from the event go to the Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative of The Actors Fund.
From her childhood in Topeka to her eventual rise to Broadway “semi-star,” this is her truth, her whole truth, and nothing but her truth… only better. Featuring songs made famous by such icons as Judy Garland, Rickie Lee Jones, Tom Waits, and Mr. Rogers, “You May Now Worship Me” reminds us that none of us are in Kansas anymore. Written by Ms. Scott and Dick Scanlan, directed by Michael Mayer, with musical direction by Tom Kitt, “You May Now Worship Me” played a sold out run at the Zipper Factory last May.

"Scott's act is an original and a real emotional journey that deftly turns from slyly raunchy to surprisingly touching at the drop of a hat... Keep your eye out for this one down the road and don't you dare miss it next time."
