The August Wilson Theatre, NYC

Book by Larry L. King and Peter Masterson
Music and Lyrics by Carol Hall

The Actors’ Fund 6th Annual Fall Benefit Concert presents the Tony® Award winning THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS. Be there for one of the most exclusive and special nights on Broadway – past benefit concerts have included DREAMGIRLS (2001), FUNNY GIRL (2002), CHESS with Josh Groban (2003), HAIR, which garnered a Grammy® nomination for the concert recording (2004), and ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY (2005). Originally staged on Broadway in 1978 (and a film starring Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds), this musical dramatizes the real-life story of a legendary house of ill-repute that remained open for many years until the Governor orders the local sheriff to shut it down. THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS is a rip-roaring, high octane production! Join Miss Mona and her girls as they take on the establishment!
