Million Dollar Quartet

Date:
Sun, 09/26/2010 - 7:00pm

Million Dollar Quartet is the new smash-hit musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock ’n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time.

On December 4, 1956, these four young musicians gathered at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET brings that legendary night to life, featuring a scope of rock hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “That’s All Right.” “Sixteen Tons,” “Great Balls Of Fire,” “Walk The Line,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Who Do You Love?,” and many more.

“A Buoyant New Musical that whips the crowd into a Frenzy with Blast after Blast of Explosive Vitality.”
Charles Isherwood, New York Times

Actors Fund Special Performances have been thrilling audiences for 80 years with an electric energy unlike any other night of theatre!  What makes a Special Performance so "special"?  Each year, Broadway companies generously give their time and talent by adding a ninth performance to already rigorous schedules to benefit The Actors Fund.

We are delighted to acknowledge, with deepest appreciation, the ongoing support The Actors Fund receives from the Broadway community.  Please join us in giving a round of applause to the unions, producers, theatre operators, and members of the following organizations who make Special Performances possible by waiving their compensation to help The Actors Fund continue its vital work:

  • Actors' Equity Association
  • Associated Musicians of Greater New York, Local 802 AFM
  • Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers
  • Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers
  • United Scenic Artists Union
