Special Report—LA Creates: Supporting the Creative Economy of Los Angeles

Western Region Director Keith McNutt just released a report entitled LA CREATES: Supporting the Creative Economy of Los Angeles funded by his Stanton Fellowship from the Durfee Foundation. The fellowship allowed Keith to interview thought leaders from Los Angeles, across the US and Europe, and a national consulting firm specializing in creative economy support. It includes recommendations for how LA city and county governments can better support the creative economy, as well as for the future structure and goals of LA’s “Creative Economy Convergence,” a voluntary coalition from academia and public policy, non-profit arts, for profit creative businesses (including entertainment unions and guilds), philanthropy and government. Visit www.actorsfund.org/LACreates to access your free online copy of the report.

Thank You Jeff Bolton & Neuberger Berman: A Copacabana Celebration

In early September, The Actors Fund and Neuberger Berman took over the historic Copacabana (now in Times Square!) to celebrate longtime Trustee Jeffrey Bolton. The event raised $250,000 thanks to gifts from Jeff’s many colleagues and clients, and was hosted by our very own Chairman Brian Stokes Mitchell. The evening also featured a video tribute narrated by Bebe Neuwirth, a performance by Anthony Nunziata and wonderful stories from Jeff's longtime friend, Elliott Gould. Thank you, Jeff Bolton!
