HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY THE RECENT WRITER’S STRIKE
During the recent writer’s strike, thousands in our community were without employment. Many were out of work for more than four months.  And, even though the strike has ended, the lingering effects are very severe.

Actors, crew, lighting designers, costumers, animators, grips… have all been put out of work by the strike.  Many are now behind on their rents and mortgage payments and facing mounting bills for utilities, cars and healthcare. With savings accounts depleted, many are worried about how to feed their families.

The dedicated Actors Fund team is working overtime every day to help as many people as possible.  But it is going to take many months for the industry to get back into full swing. And, some jobs will never come back.

Your help and support are urgently needed.  Please consider making a dedicated gift today to assist those in need.  Click here to donate now.

A WONDERFUL WAY TO HONOR THOSE YOU CARE ABOUT

The Fund has just posted online our 2005-2006 Tribute Book, which honors both those who deserve to be recognized, those we have lost and the generous donors who made gifts on their behalf.

Anyone can make an In Honor Of or an In Memory Of gift by clicking this link –  A single gift has three important results – those you care about are beautifully recognized, you are counted as being among those who care, and The Actors Fund receives funds for critical and essential services. Just click the link or call 212.221.7300 ext. 127 for personal assistance.
