November 9, 2005 -- In response to the crisis caused by this year’s hurricanes, The Actors’ Fund is there to assist entertainment professionals in need of assistance.
Since these events occurred, The Actors’ Fund, through our Emergency Assistance Fund, is helping our colleagues in the entertainment community by providing assistance for shelter, food, clothing, travel, health insurance premiums, initial resettlement support, and additional critical services as requested.

The Actors’ Fund continues to work closely with the unions and guilds to disseminate information and offers referrals as needed to other industry, government and community resources.

If you are in need of assistance please contact The Actors’ Fund at 800.221.7303 - say where you are calling from and ask to have an intake worker paged. Those who get voicemail should dial extension 119.

THE ACTORS’ FUND OF AMERICA is the national nonprofit human service organization that provides for the welfare of all entertainment professionals. The Fund also makes emergency grants for essential needs. Administered from offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, The Actors’ Fund mission is "to advance, foster and benefit the welfare of all professionals in the entertainment community who are in need of help, ensuring that these efforts are accomplished with compassion, confidentiality and preservation of dignity for the individuals concerned."
