Press Release - About Road Concierge Inc.

The mission of Road Concierge Inc. is to provide an easy way for members of the entertainment community to support, educate, and help each other.  This mission was inspired by Sir Winston Churchill’s belief that "we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."   How do we fulfill this mission?  Through a brand new website, www.roadconcierge.com.

Roadconcierge.com was founded by Lisa Morris, an actress who toured for over a decade and realized how frustrating life on “The Road” can be without a little help along the way.  She recognized the need for an All-In-One online directory of services, where people can simply click on the city they will be going to and find the information they need before they arrive.

Roadconcierge.com is useful for all travelers, but focuses specifically on the needs of the entertainment community.  In each city, there are listings for all-day breakfast, late-night food options, vegetarian food, public transit info, gyms, laundry, travel supplies, shopping, classes, medical/dental, petcare, childcare, tourist information and much more.

There is even a free online forum where people can communicate with each other, post suggestions, rate/review businesses and hotels, and share information.  There is also FREE sublet and job postings, so it is easy for people to rent our their apts. or find a new gig.

In addition to being a free information resource, Roadconcierge.com also functions as a fundraising vehicle for The Actors’ Fund.  Road Concierge Inc. believes strongly in The Actors Fund mission to "advance, foster, and benefit the welfare of all professionals in the entertainment community."  All net profits received from the Roadconcierge.com website will be shared 50/50 with this wonderful nonprofit organization.  More information about The Actors’ Fund can be found at www.actorsfund.org.
